IO's Project Delivery Enterprise Team delivers some of the province's largest and most important public infrastructure projects, including new hospitals, highways, transit systems, and courthouses. Our made-in-Ontario approach to modern project delivery has brought over 100 major projects to market and has made Ontario a global leader in infrastructure development by delivering new projects on time and on budget while meeting high standards for design, quality, and health and safety.As a vital member of the Project Delivery leadership team, the Senior Programs Director will spearhead the development and execution of divisional strategic initiatives. This entails fostering collaboration across Infrastructure Ontario (IO) divisions to enhance process integration, implement resource utilization tools, and lead knowledge management and training across Project Delivery. The role will make a significant impact on the delivery of strategic initiatives across various asset classes and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.We are hiring for 3 roles to support the following asset classes:1) Transportation: You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Transit and Highway-related initiatives within Project Delivery. Your expertise in planning and/or delivery of transit and/or highway infrastructure and your leadership experience will drive innovation and excellence in our projects.2) Government Services: You will lead the charge in aligning divisional strategies with the unique needs of government projects. Your experience in the planning and/or delivery of government office accommodation projects (leased and Crown-owned space), ability to navigate government processes and your strategic acumen will be essential in driving successful outcomes.3) Social: You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Social infrastructure project initiatives within Project Delivery. Your expertise in planning and/or delivery of hospital/healthcare and/or justice infrastructure projects and your leadership experience will drive innovation and excellence in our projects.What You Will Do:Strategic Initiative Leadership: Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring adoption at the divisional level, and provide input into strategic planning processes:Monitor the implementation of divisional strategic initiatives, providing quarterly progress updates and flagging risks as they arise.Provide input into the Project Delivery strategic planning process by representing the needs and priorities of the asset classes and/or EVP/SVP they are supporting.Lead the development and implementation of policies, processes and best practices in infrastructure planning, procurement and delivery.Knowledge Management: Develop and implement knowledge sharing practices, support enterprise initiatives, and lead participation in committees:Support the implementation of enterprise strategic initiatives pertaining to knowledge management, data strategy, as well as initiatives the promote the delivery of high-quality projects on time and on budget. This includes the development and review of training curriculum, materials, and training requirements.As a member of the Project Delivery's leadership team, provide the lead in knowledge sharing and participation on various committees.In collaboration with PMO and senior executive team, establish internal reporting standards and processes. Ensure accurate and timely reporting on all projects delivered by the team.Integration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments to manage gaps/risks, develop strategies, and ensure consistent execution across the division:Lead development of strategies, frameworks, and templates to address any commercial risk issues consistently across the department and division.Partner with various internal departments such as the PMO, Finance, /Transaction Structuring, Legal, Procurement Communications, Transformation, ESG and other business units as applicable to ensure alignment between the corporate approach and the framework as it relates to risk mitigation on commercial issues.Process Enhancement: Develop and implement policies, processes, and best practices in infrastructure planning and delivery:Monitor divisional and corporate deliverables to ensure information that is provided is complete, accurate and on-time.Ensure the consistent application of divisional processes and programs within the asset class.Resource Planning: Support the maintenance of accurate resource plans, maximize staff utilization, and contribute to strategy development:Support PD SVPs on the accuracy and maintenance of the Resource Plan forecasting for the relevant asset classes and develop strategies in collaboration with the PD Operations team to maximize staff utilization within the department and across the division.What We're Looking For:Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives and providing subject matter expertise to project teams.Educational Background: Background in Engineering, Commerce/Business, Architecture, or Economics.
