Job Title : Financial Operations Manager Location : East Rand, Gauteng Reports To : Managing Director Job Summary : We are looking for a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to lead and manage our corporation's financial and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring 8-12 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong preference for those with a background in manufacturing. This role involves overseeing risk and treasury management, financial planning and analysis, and ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions in line with company procedures. Key Responsibilities :

Financial Planning and Analysis :

  • Drive the annual budgeting process.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors.

Accounting Operations :

  • Lead the accounting team to ensure all financial activities are executed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain effective accounting controls and procedures.
  • Oversee the management of general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Perform regular audits of balance sheet accounts.
  • Review monthly financial statements.

Treasury and Cash Management :

  • Oversee the company's cash resources and manage the investment portfolio.
  • Conduct banking activities, including wire transfers and foreign currency transactions.
  • Maintain and optimize banking relationships and perform monthly cash flow forecasting.

Risk and Compliance :

  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax preparation.
  • Ensure all business taxes are filed accurately and promptly.
  • Manage the company's credit function and oversee the management of bad debt reserves.

Insurance and Legal :

  • Oversee business insurance policies and handle legal issues such as contract terms and confidentiality agreements.
  • Manage insurance claims and legal matters as they arise.
Qualifications and Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business.
  • 8-12 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent team leadership and management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of foreign currency management is advantageous.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and reside in the East Rand, Gauteng area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and email communication.
