Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Rail Infrastructure Advisor, we'll count on you to:Take responsibility for all aspects of client and design-team management of commuter, shortline, freight, transit and class-one rail projectsCoordinate the planning and environmental process; manage the assembly of plans, specifications and construction estimate packagesServe as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity while planning and developing projects or designing activities that have significant impact on major company programsBe able to plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and techniciansServe as Project Manager on larger projects as needed; project management is not sole focus of positionServe as a high-level point of contact between the client and HDRPerform other duties as neededProficient with InRail/InRoadPreferred QualificationsWe are seeking an Experienced Rail Infrastructure Advisor with extensive expertise in both freight and passenger rail operationsThe ideal candidate will possess a broad understanding of multiple rail activities, rather than focusing solely on specialized areas such as signalling, infrastructure design, or operations.We are looking for individuals with 10+ years of experience in the rail sector.Required Qualifications10 years experience in railway engineering and managing complex multidisciplinary railway projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseProficient with MicroStation, OpenRail Designer/OpenRoadsDesigner, and/or AutoCAD and Civil3DSkilled in technical writing, communicating and presenting to clients and the publicDemonstrated ability to lead a team on railway projectsShould be familiar with water and wastewater treatment processes and technologiesComputer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
