The Business Development Manager will drive growth for ground-mount solar mounting solutions in utility-scale projects. They will focus on expanding market presence by connecting with key stakeholders in the solar industry, including EPCs, developers, and regional project owners. The role requires someone with in-depth knowledge of state, regional, and national solar tenders, as well as experience in generating leads and securing new business.Key Responsibilities:Market Development & Lead Generation:Identify and build new business opportunities in utility-scale ground-mount solar projects.Cultivate relationships with major EPCs and small project developers across various states.Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects and active leads, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives.Tender & Proposal Management:Monitor state, regional, and national solar tenders, analyze requirements, and prepare bids and proposals.Coordinate with internal teams for tender submissions, ensuring timely and accurate responses to RFPs.Client Relationship Management:Build long-term relationships with key industry players, including utilities, EPCs, investors, and governmental agencies.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.Strategic Planning & Market Expansion:Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and capture niche segments within the solar industry.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to adjust business strategies effectively.Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with technical, design, and project management teams to ensure project requirements are met from inception to completion.Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to create targeted campaigns and materials.Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 2 years in solar business development, ideally in ground-mount or utility-scale projects.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the solar industry, particularly in mounting solutions and project execution.Networking: Established connections with EPCs, project developers, and stakeholders in the solar sector.Skills: Strong skills in lead generation, strategic planning, proposal writing, and negotiation.Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.Experience in proposal management and a demonstrated track record in closing deals and expanding business networks.Knowledge of performance analysis and financial metrics, including ROI and IRR.This role is perfect for a proactive, results-oriented professional with a passion for renewable energy and a knack for networking in the solar sector.
