Claims Specialist - Home and Property Insurance

This role is essential for accurately capturing and valuing property details, including home conditions and contents. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with property valuation knowledge, ensuring precise and unique data representation for each claim.Key Responsibilities:Thoroughly understand and assess home and property insurance claims, including evaluating the value and brands of goods inside.Analyze and validate claim files, reviewing inspectors' reports to ensure all property details and goods' valuations are recorded accurately.Enter information into the Xactimate software in a clear and standardized manner to ensure data consistency and quality.Utilize complex Excel formulas and pivot tables to analyze data sets, including property and goods valuations.Maintain data accuracy and uphold data integrity standards at all times.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, offering reliable insights to facilitate informed decisions.Provide technical support, assisting team members with software navigation and functionality.Qualifications:3-5 years of experience as a claims specialist and data integration, insurance, or a related field.Proficient in Excel, with advanced skills in formulas and pivot tables for data analysis.Ability to understand property valuations, including familiarity with common brands and goods.Tech-savvy, with the capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools.Training or certification in Xactimate software is an advantage but not mandatory.Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all records.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information concisely.
