Chinese (written and spoken) would be preferred.Knowledge and SkillsGood understanding of Prudential Regulations SBP, UCP, Incoterms, Communication Skills, Team Work and Managerial Skills.Internal RelationshipsCompliance, Wholesale Banking, Finance & Operations, Internal Audit & Treasury Function.External RelationshipsClients/SBP/Other regulatory authorities.Job ResponsibilitiesCredit RiskEstablish and update credit risk related policies and procedures in line with BOC-HO's Risk Governance Framework & Risk Appetite, industry practice, regulatory guidance, HO guidance, and changes in market condition.
Maintain and manage risk of deals, loans, and transactions; establish and update applicable risk metrics to enable comparisons of Bank's risk limits and risk tolerance on portfolio and aggregated enterprise level, in line with Bank's risk appetite.
Develop, enhance, and maintain various credit measurement methodologies, including but not limited to loan loss provisioning, rating methodology, and stress testing.
Monitor the Bank's credit risk profile, including asset quality, change of portfolio composition, concentration, rating migration, and changes of loan provisions.
Conduct quarterly credit risk assessment and review, challenge front-line unit's self-assessment, and engage in internal/external communication regarding adherence or breach to risk metrics.
Conduct credit stress testing frequently and as required.
Perform portfolio reviews, risk rating processes, and other programs reviews across product groups.
Work with counterparts on credit approval; review and analyze credit presentations submitted to credit committee for approval or discussion.
Consult on structuring transactions that align with business objectives.
Prepare credit risk memos providing a general overview of the credit, highlighting risks and relevant observations.
Write credit reviews, transaction memos, conduct financial modeling, and special projects.
Conduct scenario stress testing and analysis of portfolio to ensure no relevant scenarios are missed in testing.
Develop and enhance credit risk management systems and tools.
Conduct local economic and industry analysis periodically.
Ensure that ML/TF circulars/regulations are embedded in bank policies.
Ensure that ML/TF compliance/risk related policies/procedures are updated as required.
Ensure timely regulatory/HO reporting.Credit AdministrationReport to SBP.
Ensure timely submission of SBP eCIB borrowers data as per BC&CPD guidelines for eCIB Data Quality Management.
Extract borrowers data upon request from peer departments for assessment.
Assist Internal/External Audit team in conducting eCIB Reporting assessment according to regulatory guidelines.
Prepare and submit the following regulatory reports timely:
Stress Testing
Bank's Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) Audited & Un-Audited
All other regulatory reporting updated on SBP data Acquisition Portal & instructions cascaded to the Banks.Vendor ManagementReport borrowers to all Private Credit Bureaus as instructed by the regulator.
Coordinate with all on-boarded Law Firms (Adhoc & Retainer) on behalf of the Bank.
Coordinate with all on-boarded Appraisal Firms on behalf of peer departments.
Conduct annual review and assessment of Law Firms & Appraisal Firms as per Bank's internal policy.Green BankingAct as Green Banking officer & responsible for timely reporting of Green Banking Status to SBP as per the Green Banking Guidelines issued by the SBP.Other TasksAssist auditors during ICFR and audits.
