Description EcoLogic SA is a rapidly growing company specialising in marketing, selling, installing, and maintaining renewable energy products such as water heat pumps, solar water heating systems, and photovoltaic (PV) solar systems across various sectors. They are currently seeking a Stock Controller/Supply Control professional to oversee their inventory management and supplier relations. The ideal candidate should have a background in bookkeeping or a BComm degree. Responsibilities include tracking orders, conducting inventory audits, and inputting purchases into our stock system. Additionally, maintaining reports of purchases and pricing and collaborating with vendors, clients, and internal teams are key aspects of this role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising stock levels and ensuring the availability of quality products at all times. Please note: This position requires a 7:30 am start time. Education Requirements Post matric qualification Experience Requirements Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role Good understanding of supply chain procedures Working knowledge of inventory management software and training in bookeeping (e.g. of bookkeeping systems.) 3 years' experience as a stock controller, receiver, or related position Experience in loading all bills from suppliers into system and balancing supplier statements to purchases monthly. Responsibilities Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS) Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed Track shipments and address any delays Oversee storage of products Verify receipts and confirm purchase contents and orders are complete Pack stock for team according to picking slips Evaluate suppliers' offers and negotiate profitable deals Coordinate regular inventory audits Ensure teams picking slips are filled in accurately and timeously. Skills Running inventory audits Excellent organization skills Good communication and negotiation abilities Accurate and precise attention to detail Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) Able to analyse problems and strategise for better solutions Who Is AltGen?
