Inbox Business Technologies is a leading IT solutions provider committed to delivering exceptional technology and network support services. We are seeking a dedicated Resident Engineer to provide comprehensive network support and manage IT infrastructure tasks for our clients. The Resident Engineer will offer on-site network support to end users, infrastructure teams, third-party contractors, and business partners. This role includes executing network-related activities, monitoring network elements, managing network devices, and coordinating with various stakeholders to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide network support services 24/7 on-site to customer end users nationwide, infrastructure teams, customer's third-party contractors, and business partners. Also provide support on tasks assigned by end user department.
Execute IT networks related activities including data networks, security, VAS, and end-user support of the organization nationwide.
Actively monitor network elements events, alerts thresholds via deployed NMS' and escalate to relevant back-end teams and management accordingly.
Actively monitor all network elements' capacity and availability through various deployed NMSs.
Actively participate in IT network and operations related projects, tasks, and activities.
Management of network devices e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, and other wired and wireless network appliances.
Perform incident and request management and efficient reporting.
Liaise with contractors, technology partners, and other service providers for VPN deployments.
Coordinate with different departments and upstream providers to troubleshoot ongoing network related issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT.
At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
Mandatory certifications include CCNA Security, JNCIA Security, or Huawei Security. CCNP/JNCIP/HCIP Security is preferable.
Strong technical knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Experience with VLANs, routing, ACLs, and firewall filters.
Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to present technical ideas clearly.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and self-motivation. Ability to work under pressure and in a collaborative environment.
Work Conditions:
Availability:On-call availability for urgent issues during and after office hours.
Physical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods and handle computer components and tools.
On-Site Presence:Must be physically present on-site regularly, 6 days a week, as per customer office timings.#J-18808-Ljbffr
