As Laundry Team Leader within Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC), you will be responsible for ensuring that flight linen is packed according to QR Standards and ready for dispatch. You will handle resources for the best possible productivity and lead a team for preparation of QR, other Airlines, Amiri Flights, Crew trainings, etc. You will also generate considerable documentation, including Material Requests, Linen Requests, Shift Reports, Obsolete Records, and Accident/Incident Reports. You will be responsible for following and implementing operational changes as guided by the Line Manager.

Accountabilities:

Allocate junior team members into smaller teams for various linen packing tasks and provide work plans and instructions.

Prepare work plans for the shift based on the Daily Working Schedule.

Brief the team on changes and requirements to keep them updated.

Disseminate information to the team and forward information to your up line in a timely manner.

Ensure proper recycling of linen products to minimize wastage.

Analyze linen stock availability and suggest quantities to request from stores.

Check the arrival inventory of Other Airlines and withdraw sufficient stock from the backup store.

Involve during aircraft/service changes and ensure timely completion of required changes delivered to the Service delivery team.

Record all operational handover sheets and necessary data to achieve 100% standard uplift as per Airline requirements.

Ensure the highest level of quality linen products are packed and delivered to flights.

Maintain hygiene of working areas at all times to avoid FOB (Foreign Objects) passage to any linen item.

QualificationsAn ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications and experience:

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or equivalent / Bachelor's Degree

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Possess specialized knowledge of different types of linen & textiles, including the latest updates to pack all QR flights

Good knowledge and exposure to various linen and related products used in the Airline industry

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Conversant with operations of the Laundry Department

Able to work with minimum supervision

Knowledge of GLP (Galley Loading Plan) and linen packing

Communication on wireless radio operation and Ramp safety awareness

Good spoken and written English
