The GO Expansion scope includes new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.Objective:Alstom is seeking a Head of Power Supply Construction. This individual will be accountable for the QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) of all Power Supply site works, from preparation until completion and handover.Responsibilities:Responsible and accountable for QCD of all Power Supply site works, from preparation until completion and handover.Ensure compliance with Alstom EHS rules (AZDP), creating a culture of zero accidents and deviations.Plan set-up and ensure on-time execution until handover.Define planning and follow up on progress until handover.Manage site interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.Oversee management of suppliers and subcontractors on site.Coordinate quality management with the QA/QC team (Audits, modifications, NCR, REX, etc.).Maintain configuration management until handover to T&C.Coordinate construction interfaces with other subsystems (OCS team, Trackworks team, signalling team, O&M team, CW team, etc.).Define installation strategy for Power Supply construction activities.Lead the Buy/Do decision process for each Site works WP.Conduct constructability reviews with Power Supply teams.Develop methodologies considering all safety and operational aspects.Ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) of all Power Supply works.Prepare related Gate Reviews.Prepare Power Supply works, including all logistics aspects.Collect REX (Return of Experience) from the Regional Centers.Reporting:This position will report to the Head of Electrification.Candidate Liaison:Engineering: On-shore, off-shore Engineering team and Transverse Engineering team.Construction: POS and OCS Construction teams.Project: Electrification and System management team.Customer, Consultants, External stakeholders.Civil Works, Track works and O&M partners.Interfacing sub-systems (Rolling Stock, Trackworks, Signalling, Civil works).Regional Centers.Performance Measurements:Compliance to EHS targets.Quality of the works performed.Documentation produced by the team, including:On-time delivery: 100%.Compliance to Site works Work Package: 100%.Respect of Design For Quality (DFQ) milestones: 100% Go On Time, per standards or rules of the Metier.Respect of system performance provided: 100%.Educational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Civil Works or scientific subjects.Professional Engineer designation as per Canadian regulations.Master's Degree in Business Administration and/or Project Management.Experience:Graduate from any Engineering school in mechanical, electrical or civil works systems.Professional Engineer as per Canadian regulations.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction oversight and management of T&D or Railway Power Supply projects (Traction or Distribution), including maintenance and testing of substation equipment.Familiarity with NFPA 70E and NESC requirements for electrical maintenance and construction of power distribution systems.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Railway Operations, systems, ET maintenance and construction.A minimum of six-seven years of experience in Power Supply (AC or DC) construction activities, green and brown field.Strong knowledge of Canadian standards and common practices.Fluent in English, second language appreciated.Result-oriented with strong interpersonal skills (teamwork and leadership).Decision-making ability and analytical thinking.Problem-solving ability and resilience.Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow's mobility.
