ISP Assistant Finance Manager Role ProfilePurpose of RoleThe Assistant Finance Manager's role is to assist the Finance Manager with a range of administrative and financial tasks. These may involve assisting with billing invoices, preparing budgets, managing cash flow, and requesting information from colleagues regarding purchase orders.ISP PrinciplesBegin with our children and students. We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement.ISP Assistant Finance Manager Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the FAM in overseeing the financial operations of the school.Prepare reports on the school's financial performance.Develop and implement systems and controls to ensure accurate financial data processing.Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting process.Manage the day-to-day processing of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury functions.Compile audit requirements for the annual, Transfer Pricing or GTA audits and attend to audit queries.Approve purchase requests within the budgeted allocations.Review balance sheet reconciliations for completeness.Prepare the payroll in Pay lite monthly.Ad hoc duties as required.Review all supplier reconciliation monthly prior to payments.Manage all Capex spend across the school and ensure accurate recording thereof.Assisting with parent queries daily.Act as a backup for the Senior Accountant and Accountant as and when required.Managing debt collection and contacting debtors for overdue debt.Other ObjectivesMaintain and improve financial records.Assist in the preparation of financial reports per ISP deadlines.Contribute to the development of financial strategies.Provide support to the FAM and the Senior Accountant and Accountant.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Other Duties And ResponsibilitiesAny other duties that the Principal may from time to time ask the post-holder to perform.Position RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's Degree in FinanceFinance specific certificationExperience: Minimum 4 years' experienceLanguage:English is mandatoryArabic is an advantageSkills, Qualifications And ExperienceExcellent communication and people skills at all levelsAbility to coordinate and collate dataHealth and Safety AwarenessEnergetic and enthusiasticA dynamic, positive approach to deliver the school's visionSelf-motivation and ability to take initiativesDemonstrate an understanding of & commitment to our best practice modelGood knowledge and information of school operationsSkilled in the use of finance and accounting systemAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staffPresentation skills with the ability to present information in a concise and professional mannerOrganization skills: well organized and able to prioritize tasks and workloadCustomer serviceCritical thinkingAbility to negotiate, persuade and motivate othersWilling attitude to be a part of the school teamStrong sense of professionalismSafeguarding and welfare of childrenA collaborative team-player with excellent interpersonal skillsBehaviour managementDemonstrated competency to use computer applications related to the role, including word processing and spreadsheet applicationsRecord keeping and report preparation methodsInterpersonal skills including tact, courtesy and patienceCustomer focusedWillingness to undertake appropriate Professional DevelopmentAttributesEmpathetic listener and patientIntegrity and confidentialityInternationally mindedEmotional intelligenceIntercultural awareness, creativeFlexible and a can-do attitudeISP Leadership CompetenciesYou consistently demonstrate and role-model the ISP Leadership Competencies in all that you do.Collaboration.
