A Michael Page Company has announced an appointment as Director of Corporate Affairs (Law) in Dubai. Managing and supervising the organisation's corporate restructuring initiatives will be a major responsibility of the director of corporate affairs. We are looking for a trained lawyer with a lot of expertise in corporate restructuring, preferably in the Jersey or Cayman jurisdictions.Job Location: Dubai, United Arab EmiratesA sizable privately held company with several business divisions and a presence in international marketplaces.DescriptionLeadership and Strategy:You will be responsible for leading and managing the international restructuring team through the process of ensuring the successful implementation of corporate restructuring initiatives across the organisation. Create and put into action strategies for the reorganisation of the corporation that is in line with the strategic goals of the firm and the needs of the global business environment. Providing senior management and the board of directors with strategic advice and direction on topics about corporate governance and restructuring is an important responsibility.In charge of supervising and coordinating operations related to company restructuring, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. Make sure that you conform with the legal standards and regulatory regulations that are in place in Jersey, Cayman, and any other applicable countries. It is important to work together with outside advisers, legal specialists, and consultants to ease the processes of restructuring and to find solutions to difficult problems.Corporate Restructuring:In charge of supervising and coordinating operations related to company restructuring, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. Ensure that the board of directors, senior management, and shareholders can communicate effectively with one another.Support on a global scale:Offer specialist assistance and guidance on matters about corporate affairs and restructuring to business units and stakeholders located all over the world. Fluidly coordinate with multinational teams when managing projects that include cross-border restructuring. In the context of corporate restructuring and governance on a global scale, it is important to keep an eye on developing trends and problems and to handle them.ProfileEducation and Professional Qualification: Qualified lawyer with a valid legal practising certificate. Bachelor's degree in law; advanced legal qualifications or certifications are advantageous.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate restructuring, with a strong background in Jersey or Cayman restructuring. Proven experience as a board secretary or in a similar governance role. Demonstrated success in leading and managing international teams and projects.Skill and Competencies: Superior understanding of governance, compliance, and corporate restructuring procedures. Strong familiarity with the legal and regulatory systems of Cayman, Jersey, and other important countries. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities. Capacity to oversee intricate projects and manoeuvre through various cultural and legal contexts.
