Overview Job Title: General Engineering Supervisor - Mining Location: Northern Cape, South Africa Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Engineering Supervisor to join our team in the mining industry in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and supervisory experience in a mining environment. Responsibilities: - Oversee and coordinate the engineering department's daily activities, including maintenance, repairs, and installations - Manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards - Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance of equipment and machinery - Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and workforce assignments - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in all engineering activities - Collaborate with other departments to support overall operational goals and objectives Requirements: - A Valid Trade Certificate and N5 Certificate - Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the mining industry - Strong knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and processes - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities - Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations - Willingness to work on-site and in challenging conditions as needed Benefits: Salary: Smallest - R900k - R1.1m Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
