Power Bi Developer

• Assist the BI Team Lead in supporting analytical projects to identify business opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with selling business teams to understand information requirements and ensure solutions align with business needs.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
• Provide timely and accurate analyses of business performance to ensure credibility.
• Follow established policies and procedures for the solution development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, implementation, and hyper-care.
• Implement BI dashboards that meet flexibility, usability, and performance requirements.
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
• Create and maintain SQL stored procedures, views, and ad-hoc SQL reporting, including querying Delta Lake through HIVE and Databricks notebooks.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Partner with IT, internal FCTG businesses, and external consultants to assist in the implementation and maintenance of BI solutions.

Key Competencies:

• Data & Systems Analysis: Understand complex database structures and demonstrate proven experience as a BI Analyst and/or Developer.
• Commercial Acumen: Identify commercial opportunities and effectively engage stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and completeness of information across various systems.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with a focus on customer service.
• Teamwork: Build trust and communicate openly to achieve shared goals.

Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in BI tools, particularly Power BI.
• Strong SQL skills for developing tabular models and querying data.
• Familiarity with modern data warehousing techniques.

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Power BI developer or Data Modeler.
