Job Title: Operations Manager - Oil & Gas DivisionLocation: GCC (Preferably Qatar) Position: Full-timeMinimum Qualifications:â¢ Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from arecognized university.Experience Requirements:â¢ Minimum of 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects, with at least 15 years ofexperience in the GCC region.â¢ Extensive experience in multidisciplinary EPIC projects within the Oil & Gassector, including pipelines, midstream transmission, custody transfer, pump stations,compression stations, tank installations, and storage facilities.â¢ Proven track record in successfully executing plant shutdowns independently.Key Responsibilities:â¢ Project Execution: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of variousprojects in the Oil & Gas sector, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and qualitystandards.â¢ Business Development: Drive growth and expand business opportunities, fosteringrelationships with clients, consultants, and partners.â¢ Division Management: Manage overall operations of the division, ensuringalignment with company objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.â¢ Personnel Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team acrossmultiple projects, ensuring optimal performance and professional development.â¢ Client & Consultant Coordination: Maintain strong working relationships withclients and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues.â¢ Statutory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, regional, andinternational laws, regulations, and safety standards.Required Personal Skills:â¢ Extensive experience in project execution within the Oil & Gas sector, with handson experience in handling complex, multidisciplinary projects.â¢ Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee large teams andoperations.â¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectivelywith internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.â¢ Demonstrated ability to manage statutory compliance and regulatory requirements across projects.â¢ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges in a fastpaced, high-stakes environment.Job-Specific Skills:â¢ Expertise in the design, engineering, and construction of offshore oil & gasprojects, refineries, petrochemical facilities, gas pipelines, and gas processingplants.â¢ Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-qualityoutcomes across disciplines.â¢ Resource optimization: Maximize the efficiency of resources across the divisionwith effective control measures and operational oversight.â¢ Demonstrated ability to ensure timely project completion, meeting establishedtargets for cost, quality, and schedule.â¢ Strong understanding of international codes and standards including ASME, PD500, TEMA, API, BS, NACE, ANSI, and AWWA D-100.â¢ Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Qatar, is highly preferred.Desirable Skills:â¢ In-depth experience in estimating for large-scale construction and EPC projects.â¢ Qatar driving license is a plus.Roles & Responsibilities:â¢ Project Profitability: Play a key role in ensuring the financial success andprofitability of projects.â¢ Client Liaison: Manage time and cost claims with clients and ensure successfulapproval and resolution of claims.Note: Candidates with a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in EPIC projects, and experience in managing complex operations in the GCC region, are encouraged to apply.With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
