EHS Officer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Help maintain records for regulatory reporting and inspections.
2. Safety Audits and Inspections: Support in conducting regular safety audits, workplace inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
3. Training and Documentation: Assist with scheduling and conducting EHS training sessions for employees, covering topics such as safety procedures, emergency response, environmental practices, and regulatory compliance. Maintain training records and materials.
4. Incident Reporting & Investigation: Help manage the reporting and documentation of workplace injuries, accidents, and near misses. Assist with investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
5. Environmental Programs: Assist in the monitoring and management of environmental programs, including waste disposal, recycling, air and water quality, and energy efficiency initiatives.
6. Data Entry & Reporting: Support the EHS team in tracking key EHS metrics, maintaining safety data systems, and preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies.
7. Policy Implementation: Help implement and communicate EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization. Assist in reviewing and updating safety and environmental guidelines.
8. Emergency Response Preparedness: Help coordinate emergency drills and ensure emergency response equipment is in good working condition.
9. Record Keeping: Maintain and update safety logs, incident reports, training certifications, and other relevant EHS documentation.
10. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Assist in the development of safety committees or focus groups.

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

• 2 years or above (Preferred)

• NEBOSH (Preferred)
