Here are your daily responsibilities:
Incident and problem management: Perform incident and problem management activities, including root cause analysis to determine the actual cause of failures and implement structural fixes. You will communicate directly with users (traders, credit/market risk managers) from Amsterdam, London, Brussels, New York, and Singapore.
Level-2 support: Provide level-2 support in deploying and running an application/stack in production. This implies being part of an on-call rotation scheme.
Automation opportunities: Identify opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance, and security, as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a key responsibility of the operations engineers.
Data improvement: Perform data improvement by (re)configuring new and existing products, reports, and processes in general.
Technological understanding: Understand the entire stack's technology on which the application runs and how it fits into the overall chain.
Tooling and scripts: Build, enhance, and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error-prone tasks, using the correct event alerts.
Functional testing and change management: Perform functional testing and change management activities to ensure safe deliveries from test, acceptance, and production environments.
Occasional travel: Occasional travel abroad (Brussels).
What you'll bring to the team
Required experience:
Financial Knowledge: Expertise in interest rate and FX derivatives, market risk modeling (e.g., Greeks, VaR).
Functional Support: Experience in front office pricing applications and incident management in financial markets, especially with IRD (Interest Rate Derivatives) and FM (Financial Market) products.
Technical Skills: Advanced MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL, and SQL query proficiency. Candidates must have experience with FM risk products, especially IRD.
Customer Focus: Identify and resolve incident root causes for improved customer experience.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with ServiceNow, Confluence, Fortify.
Team Player: Proactive, attentive, and enjoys a multicultural environment.
Preferred qualifications:

IT Risk and Security: Experience with SOx, vulnerability management, and security protocols.
Languages: Advanced English proficiency.
Education: Bachelor's/master's in computer science, cybernetics, software engineering, financial engineering, or equivalent.
What we offer:
Contract: One-year contract with potential for permanent employment.
Work Hours: 36-hour work week.
Salary: €4.240,00 - €6.350,00 based on experience.
Benefits: Hybrid working, travel allowance, pension, vacation pay, 13th month.
