This role also involves analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial metrics and developing and improving budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts by providing ad-hoc business performance reporting while combining analytical mindset, technical ability, and people skills. Financial Planning Analyst Responsibilities (KPI):
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Create variance analysis reports and financial models.
- Lead real-time financial performance monitoring.
- Escalate any financial issues to management.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
- Recommend strategies for increasing financial performance.
- Present detailed monthly financial reports to managers.
- Collaborate with the finance team.
- Evaluate company performance by analyzing financial and operational data.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial outcomes.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis where required to assist in management decision-making.
- Demonstrate excellent financial and quantitative skills.
- Communicate effectively and possess strong presentation skills.
- Collaborate well with colleagues using adept social skills.
- Work independently using project management skills.
- Build strong working relationships.
- Learn quickly and demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- A bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or accounting.
- Must have 2 - 3 years of financial planning experience.
- Able to set up processes and reporting for FP&A areas to assist in business decision-making.
