Facility Engineer - Mechanical/ElectricalThe Facility Engineer position requires a solid background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Additionally, the ideal candidate must possess bilingual skills, enabling effective communication in a multilingual environment.Reporting To: Senior FM EngineerDepartment: OperationsKey ResponsibilitiesConduct regular inspections of facility infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with regulationsDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maintain the integrity and functionality of facility equipment and systemsCoordinate with external contractors and vendors for repair and maintenance services, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanshipRespond promptly to facility emergencies and breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtimeManage facility projects, including renovations, upgrades, and expansions, from planning and budgeting to execution and completionMaintain accurate records of facility maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and expenditures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsMonitor and manage facility utility consumption, implementing energy-saving initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costsSkills RequiredLeadership and Organizational SkillsStrong self-motivation and the ability to work without supervisionAbility to plan, organize, and supervise multiple teams, with decisive decision-making skillsAbility in analysis and presentation-making skills.Qualifications and ExperienceHolds a full-time Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical disciplineAt least 5 years of experience, including 3 years managing large projects in the Gulf Cooperation Council countriesGood professional knowledge of electromechanical systems (electricity and current), light, mechanicsPreferably certified by QCDD and Class B grade from KAHRAMAA / the concerned authoritiesGood understanding of HSEQ ManagementArabic and English languages, spoken and written proficiency is a mustJob Type: Full-time, PermanentLocation: Qatar
