We are innovators, committed to redesigning and improving public services to fulfil our purpose to impact a better future by "Bringing National Visions to Life".Your OpportunityWe are currently bidding for a prestigious new project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and we are looking for a HSE Inspector who will support the Senior HSE Inspector with advising and inspection activities to ensure best HSE practices are being implemented to the client's portfolio of projects.The purpose of the project under this contract is to provide consulting and management support to a Ministry in KSA with the necessary tools to manage and maintain assets and facilities, through improving activities to meet service requirements, developing business strategies that ensure reducing costs of the life cycle of assets, and improving practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness. It includes but is not limited to long-term management of assets, facilities, resources, and services to improve performance, reduce costs, and manage the life cycle.Key AccountabilitiesSupport & conduct the day-to-day inspection activities at the project sitesPrepare inspection reportsIssue NCRs, observations, and proactive notifications based on the results of their surveillance inspection visitsReview site test reportsSupport in the implementation of the HSE plan, procedures, and technical work instructionsSupport improvement based on the lessons learned and best practicesSupport in the inspection of the implementation of the processes and procedures at project sitesSupport compliance requirements with HSE standards, policies, and guidelines in projectsEducate the construction support in the inspection of O&M contractors on the technical compliance with HSE requirementsProactively engage in the HSE activities to assist in resolving and overcoming technical HSE issuesAttend regular site surveillance visits and walkthroughs to maintain intensity of the site compliance to the HSE requirementsLead in the examination and inspection of facilitiesMonitor/calibrate inspection and testing equipmentConduct field visits to sites and facilities on a regular, scheduled basisCarry out periodic inspections and scheduled reviews of the work packages of the outsourcing consultants and operation and maintenance contractors, issue health, safety, security, and environment improvement notices or work suspension notices - where necessary - and conduct independent investigations regarding incidentsSpecific RequirementsMinimum 7 years of experience in inspectionAble to apply HSE tools and techniquesPossess good presentation skills and be able to market the benefits of HSE to all stakeholdersPractical experience in the Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaExperience in quality services and studiesPublic sector experienceExperience in health, safety, and environmentDegree qualified in an engineering subjectGood knowledge and practice of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Standard as well as ISO 14001 Environmental Management SystemsInspection certification as applicable (e.g., NDT, API, AWS, CSWIP, Coating)What's in it for you?Competitive monthly pay and allowances that are commensurate with the role and industry standardsComprehensive medical insurance coverage and life insuranceCompetitive leave benefits that exceed industry standardsAnnual airfare allowanceSupportive work environment with a positive Safety-First cultureAccess to wellbeing programs and platformsVast array of career paths for growth and varietyJoin UsAt Serco, we believe there is a place here for everyone.
