EXP Services Inc. is searching for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Electrical team in our Markham, ON office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.Your ResponsibilitiesAct as single point of contact with client project managers for project scope definition, schedule, and budget requirements.Responsible for meeting firm's engineering quality levels for discipline on assigned projects.Oversees development of design concepts by Designers, and ensure proper application and execution.Verifies Designer's work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.Mentors and encourages development of Designer level staff.Lead the design team to develop the Basis of Design (BOD), Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget and use best practices.Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.Responsible for applying risk management practices to all projects.Writes studies and reports on electrical system work.Contributes to revisions of EXP's design standards and master specificationsThe Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We SeekThe ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field.Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.Registered Professional EngineerProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) products and electrical design softwareAutoCAD experience required and REVIT MEP proficiency desired.
