Financial Accountant - Oranmore, Galway Our client, a leading company in their respective field now have a requirement for a talented & ambitious Financial Accountant to join their growing team based in their Galway HQ office on a Full-time permanent basis. Location: Oranmore, Galway Onsite role. Duration: Full-time Permanent The Role: To assist the Financial Controller with the accounting function. The Financial Accountant is to provide a service in order to ensure all company accounting policies and procedures are met. The key duties of this role will include: Manage the team of staff within the accounting function. Reconciliation of all bank accounts. Preparation of monthly management accounts for Group companies and preparation of annual accounts to trial balance level. Monitor, control and report on Retail shops cash function. Maintain and improve the internal controls within the accounting function. Preparation and submission of VAT returns and WEEE returns. Preparation for year-end statutory audits i.e. Journals, Accruals, Asset Ledger, Reconciliations, etc. Payment approval of all staff business expenses submitted. Administration of company motor fleet insurance, accident reports, claims, etc. Ad hoc duties as required. Key Criteria: ACCA/CIMA qualification essential. You will ideally have at least 2-3 years post qualified experience working in industry. Demonstrated experience in people management desirable. Strong knowledge of Windows, Excel and other related software. Excellent communication skills, initiative and customer focus. Ambitious and multi-tasker.
