Roles and responsibilities We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our team. As a Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients by producing high-quality medical images using various diagnostic imaging equipment. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, following established protocols and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly according to the specific imaging requirements. Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring it is functional and safe to use. Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring they are clear and accurate for interpretation by radiologists and other healthcare professionals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide specialized imaging services in areas such as surgery, cardiology, and oncology. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper use of radiation protection devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff. Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results, procedural details, and patient information, in compliance with applicable regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Radiography or a related field. Valid licensure as a Radiographer, with a good standing with the designated licensing board. Proven experience as a Radiographer, demonstrating proficiency in performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures. Extensive knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment, and techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Solid understanding of radiation safety and protection measures. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively. Desired candidate profile Technical Proficiency: Expertise in operating radiographic equipment and understanding imaging techniques. Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure precise positioning and settings to obtain high-quality images. Collaboration: Working effectively with healthcare teams, including physicians and nurses, to provide comprehensive care. Time Management: Managing patient schedules and workflow efficiently to minimize wait times. Record Keeping: Accurate documentation of patient information, imaging procedures, and results. Continuous Learning: Staying updated on advancements in radiography technology and techniques.
