Our manufacturing facility covers an area of 18500 m2 and produces over 3000 SKUs in 30 categories, meeting ASTM/ISO/USP standards.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Packaging Manager at Glassco Laboratory Equipments Pvt. Ltd. in Ambala. The Packaging Manager will be responsible for overseeing the packaging process, ensuring quality control, managing packaging materials, coordinating with production teams, and optimizing packaging efficiency.Note: Must have 5 to 7 years of experience in packaging & should be trained from any good packaging institute like IIP.QualificationsBachelor degree in Packaging, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Knowledge of packaging processes and materialsExperience in quality control and process optimizationStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsPrior experience in a manufacturing or packaging environmentBachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldKey ResponsibilitiesTeam Management:Supervise and lead a team of packing staff, providing guidance, training, and performanceevaluations.Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow and meet shipping deadlines.Monitor staff adherence to safety protocols and packing procedures.Packing Operations:Develop and implement packing strategies to ensure the secure and efficient packing of laboratoryequipment.Oversee the preparation of packing materials and tools, ensuring their availability and functionality.Coordinate with the production and inventory teams to align packing schedules with productavailability.Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections to ensure all packed items meet quality and safety standards.Address and resolve any issues related to packing defects or damages.Maintain detailed records of packing processes and incidents for continuous improvement.Inventory Management:Manage the inventory of packing materials, placing orders as needed to avoid shortages.Ensure proper storage and handling of packing supplies to prevent waste or damage.Coordination and Communication:Liaise with the shipping and logistics departments to coordinate the timely dispatch of packed items.Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve packing material issues and ensure timelydeliveries.Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all packingactivities.Conduct safety drills and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.Experience:Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a packing or logistics role, preferably within the laboratoryequipment or manufacturing industry.Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory position.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Proficiency in inventory management and ERP software.Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.Knowledge of packing materials and methods, including handling fragile and sensitive equipment.Working Conditions:The role typically involves working in a warehouse or production environment.May require occasional lifting and handling of heavy or bulky items.Standard working hours, with potential for overtime during peak periods.
