Bakers Alignment & Brake has an amazing, full-time opening at our busy shop located at 190 W Walton Blvd, Pontiac, MI 48340 for an Experienced A Level Automotive Technician - 5 or more years Automotive Technician experience or a combination of experience and training to be an Automotive Technician. Requirements
- Advanced knowledge and skill in passenger automobiles diagnostics including using a diagnostic tree, performing testing procedures to discover the cause (and repairs needed) to correct a customer’s issue.
- Advanced knowledge, ability, and skill in performing mechanical repairs and services on passenger automobiles including removing and reinstalling parts and doing service.
- Knowledge and skill of how to perform a thorough inspection on a passenger automobile for the purpose of finding service and repairs needed on the miles and condition of the vehicle.
- Ability to communicate in English with others verbally and in various written forms.
- Ability and knowledge of how to use a computer and diagnostic tools to diagnose vehicles, look up repair instructions, and access Customer Management software.
- Requires 5 or more years Automotive Technician experience, or a combination of experience and training.
- The A Technician should have a minimum of 4 current state certifications or corresponding ASE certifications.
- Willingness to earn ASE certifications and work towards being a Master ASE Technician.
- Must possess a valid US Driver’s License, be insurable on Company insurance policy, and possess the ability to drive a vehicle with passengers and perform drivability tests.
- Must possess own set of up-to-date tools needed to repair vehicles.
