About the role
Qatar Airways is looking for the next Employee Engagement & Recognition Manager. You will lead the efforts in fostering a culture of engagement by spearheading, developing, and implementing innovative engagement initiatives and strategies that align with HR's people-centric strategic goals and overall organizational goal aimed at optimizing employee satisfaction and productivity. You will focus on identifying areas of improvement and designing effective programs that address real-time employee needs while constantly measuring the effectiveness of the ongoing engagement initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing high-impact employee recognition programs across our global organization by collaborating closely with Executive leadership, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure that the recognition initiatives are effective and align with our corporate values, business objectives, and cultural norms.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Collaborate with HR and management to assess employee needs based on regular survey findings and identify areas for improvement.
Design and execute employee engagement programs, including events, workshops, and recognition initiatives.
Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to measure employee engagement levels and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and make recommendations for future improvements.
Serve as a liaison between employees and management, advocating for employee needs and concerns.
Develop and implement a comprehensive recognition strategy that enhances employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
Design and implement innovative recognition programs and initiatives tailored to a diverse global workforce.
Use data analytics and employee feedback mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of recognition initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Design and manage high-profile recognition events, including award ceremonies, milestone celebrations, and leadership forums.
Cultivate relationships with external vendors, partners, and industry associations to leverage resources and expertise in recognition program design and delivery.
Manage the budget, resources, and timelines for recognition initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
Stay current on industry trends and best practices in employee engagement to continuously improve programs and initiatives.
Lead the development and execution of employee engagement programs and foster the company's culture ensuring all initiatives/activities are promoted and delivered.
Manage and oversee the employee recognition program for all outstation-based employees.
Organize employee special events, including team building events and company outings for outstation teams to foster and strengthen inclusion with HQ.
Perform department duties related to the position as directed by Line Manager or Head of the Department.
Qualifications
About you
High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification (Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role)) with a minimum of 7 years of job-related experience.
OR
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Communications.
Demonstrated experience in advancing employee engagement and recognition in complex organizations.
A proven track record of designing and implementing successful employee engagement and recognition programs in a global, multicultural environment.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
An analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting to measure program effectiveness and ROI.
Experience working with senior executives and C-suite leaders, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-making.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data effectively.
Leadership and project management required to coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
Problem-solving skills. The ability to identify issues within the work environment and develop actionable solutions is critical.
Knowledge of industry best practices is essential for crafting effective engagement strategies.
Technical proficiency. Familiarity with HR analytics and technology to enhance engagement metrics and develop effective action plans.
Adaptability and teamwork. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing organizational needs.
Preferred
Experience in communications, marketing, events, and CSR activities.
Education or related field relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Five years progressively responsible Organizational Development, Learning and Development experience, Change Management, or related experience; including two years of supervisory experience.
Good knowledge and experience of QR product and services.
Highly developed interpersonal skills.
Engaging employees of varying backgrounds and levels with an equity lens.
Providing customer service.
Conducting negotiations.
Designing and developing program plans.
Establishing collaborative working relationships across the organization.
Leading work groups.
Coordinating activities with other internal departments and/or external agencies.
Preparing a variety of reports related to operational activities, including statistical analysis.
