We are thrilled to present an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead and support a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. In this role, you will take an active leadership position within a dedicated Multidisciplinary Team, contributing significantly to psychiatric nurse management. **Position Details** - **Location**: South Dublin - **Contract**: Permanent, Full-Time - **Hours**: 78 hours per fortnight - **Reports to**: Director of Nursing - **Accountable to**: Assistant Director of Nursing **About Client** This Hopsital offers a comprehensive range of neuropsychiatric services to adults with complex and long-standing mental health needs, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Huntington's Disease, early-onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. hospital is the only facility in Ireland specializing in advanced care for individuals with Huntington's disease. The hospital emphasizes a therapeutic and recovery-focused environment, using evidence-based practices and interventions to help patients achieve their highest functional levels and quality of life. Our care team includes experts in Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, and General Practice, all working collaboratively as part of a Multidisciplinary Team. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead and develop nursing services in alignment with national and regulatory standards and best practices. - Maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety. - Oversee compliance with regulatory programs, including Health & Safety and Risk Management. - Drive operational improvements within nursing services. - Engage with residents, families, and colleagues in setting goals and developing care plans. - Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support the hospital's strategic vision. - Ensure all practices and policies align with organizational service plans. **Qualifications and Experience** - Registered Psychiatric Nurse (An Bord Altranais/NMBI or eligible to register). - At least five years post-qualification experience, including two years in a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 role. - Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting, with exposure to acute mental health care. - Clinical experience in palliative care is an advantage. - Strong clinical, managerial, and administrative skills. - Experience in staff management, budgeting, and workforce planning. - In-depth knowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements, leadership, and clinical governance. - Proven experience in teaching, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff and students. - Understanding of health and safety regulations within healthcare settings. - Commitment to ongoing professional development. **Benefits** - Competitive shift premiums for night duty (25%), Sundays, and bank holidays - Contributory pension scheme - Career advancement opportunities - Comprehensive training programs - Support for continuing education - On-site library and research facilities - Employee Well-being and Assistance Programs - Free on-site parking - Subsidized staff restaurant - Cycle to work scheme To know more about the role contact Sonal Tikariha at Skills: RPN CNM2 South Dublin
