DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate the admitted children and prepare an intervention plan for each child including admission, progress, and exit.
Execute the plan accordingly to attain a maximum level of independence in the child.
Modify the plan according to the requirements of the child in consultation with the immediate supervisor.
Develop daily lesson plans in discussion with the immediate supervisor; maintain daily progress reports and activity reports for each child.
Evaluate the student's ability and formulate the student's occupational profile through a variety of functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, and interviews.
Record and report on the progress of each child to be presented at parent-teacher meetings, and periodically as required by the immediate supervisor.
Correspond with parents on the progress of each child and suggest techniques for training at home through approved channels.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Successfully completed and graduated from an accredited occupational therapy professional program recognized by national governments and completed all fieldwork requirements.
EXPERIENCE
At least three (3) years of experience in a similar work setting.
LANGUAGE
Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of any other language is considered an asset.
