We provide advisory and project delivery services, guiding clients through every phase of their projects, from initial strategy and planning to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. While we collaborate closely with clients and visit project sites, Consult is centred on producing creative solutions to their individual challenges.What you'll doIn Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying), you will play a key role in supporting cost management services from contract signature and award to completion of projects. You will be supporting with advising on the issue of certificates and preparation of cost control and reporting services. Some of your main responsibilities will include:Assisting with preparing the contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses and assist formal execution by the appropriate partiesSupporting with administration of the terms of the building contractAssisting in measuring and providing valuations of the work carried out and adjust variations in accordance with the terms of the contract and agree with the contractorSupporting with cost control and reporting services during the contractAssisting with preparing financial reports for the client in the form and at the frequency requiredSupporting with identifying all costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client chargesParticipates in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliersAdvises on the issue of certificates of practical completion and ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreedSupporting with advising on issue of certificates of making good defects and final completion in accordance with any requirements relating to completion, submissions and approvalsAssisting with the delivery of improvements in systems and processes, driving transformational changeYou will also work towards gaining professional membership of a professional association, fully funded and supported by us with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).What we can offer youOur two-year programme offers structured on-the-job training and real responsibility from day one. Our projects and clients are based in various locations, so you should be prepared to travel frequently to different project sites or Mace offices.
