With divisions of rocket propulsion, autonomous robotics, and satellite integration, NordSpace is driven to do everything it takes to bring space closer to Earth and inspire generations of space explorers.Responsibilities:Design, build, and test PCB prototypes in a lab environmentExecute schematic capture and implement PCB layouts, including the creation of component symbols and footprintsPerform signal integrity simulations and oversee implementation into layout of high-speed digital and high-frequency analog signal pathsDevelop verification test plans and execute the tests, conduct bench testing using oscilloscope and spectrum analyzersDevelop software scripts to automate data processing and repetitive testingParticipate in every phase of product development, including requirements definition, architecture and concept definition, specification and selection of components, control and monitoring requirements, algorithm definition, detailed implementation, integration, and characterizationQualifications:2+ years of experience in aerospace engineering related to electrical and control systemsMinimum Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, Master's or Ph.D. greatly preferredSignificant hands-on engineering experience with electrical systems (PCB design, embedded systems programming) using Altium, Python, C/C++Significant knowledge of and deep passion for the space industry at largeExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct independent researchExcellent project management skillsThis is a full-time in-person role at our head office in Markham
