Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Quantum Machine Learning

Qatar Center for Quantum Computing (QC2) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) seeks applications for the research scientist position in Quantum Machine Learning. In particular, we are interested in research areas closely related to the use of quantum computing to enhance classical machine learning as well as the use of classical machine learning to mitigate the limitations of (current) quantum computing. We are also interested in exploring the potential use of QML in studying other quantum systems and technologies (communication and sensing).

Successful candidates will work in a vibrant environment and collaborate with other scientists, postdocs, researchers, and students within QC2 and with external collaborators including industry partners. The candidate will participate in theoretical and/or experimental research and be based in a world-class facility within HBKU.

QualificationsCandidates are expected to have a PhD in relevant disciplines with an excellent research track record and to have published in reputable venues.

DurationInitially, the position is for 12 months; then based on satisfactory performance, the contract can be renewed for several years.
