UCT is looking for a talented Manager, Engineering to join us in Malaysia! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transfer technical processes to new sites.
- Conduct technical process audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement automation to eliminate labor in processes.
- Standardize processes throughout all sites.
- Re-engineer technical processes to reduce costs.
- Review and train on quality document revisions.
- Make timely logical decisions based on facts, processes, and financial inputs.
- Monitor, track, and report on monthly KPI’s.
- Define specific project and program objectives for areas of responsibility.
- Ensure all projects and programs comply with predetermined requirements, focusing on specifications, costs, resource utilization, and timelines.
- Document all phases of project, program, and process development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies including engineering/lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, ISO, and safety.
- Utilize material and financial resources effectively.
- Assign work to subordinate staff, promoting professional development and productivity.
- Manage departmental budgets and spending requirements.
- Optimize product configuration activities and timelines.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Well-developed engineering technical skills.
- Knowledge of Configurable Products and BOM structures.
- Competent in Agile PLM and SAP ERP systems.
- Familiarity with semiconductor modules and equipment build & testing.
- Familiarity with OMS/WI, PFMEA, Lean concepts, and Six Sigma projects.
- Experience with automation concepts and implementation.
- Strong skills in change management, problem solving, written and verbal communications, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, and team skills.
- Demonstrated ability in human resources management and leadership.
- Knowledge of systems and software necessary for specific job functions such as MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, flowcharting, PDM, CFD, FEA, and various CAD platforms.
- BS/BE Level degree in an appropriate technical discipline, or equivalent.
- Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in engineering.
- Experience in managing equipment maintenance teams and understanding welding processes.
- Experience in a contract manufacturing environment and semiconductor industry preferred.
- Management Work Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in engineering management.
- 3+ years supervisory/management experience.
