Front Office C# Developer

Job Description4 days a week in the office, 1 day remote workingBase salary of 80K GBPThe roleWe are looking for an experienced Software Developer to develop custom and enrich off-the-shelf applications for the hedge fund business. You will work closely with the front office on workflow automation solutions concerning research, portfolio management, operations and trading. The candidate should demonstrate strong technical skills and a desire to learn the financial aspects and businesses of our firm.Responsibilities will includeWorking with the business areas to design, build and deploy custom applications and enrich off-the-shelf applications as requiredProvide technical solutions through development to automate processes or functions to improve business operationsDevelop corresponding operations and support procedures for application supportDesign and develop scripts to automate operational tasks and maintenanceAdminister and enforce IT development standards and processesProvide support during scheduled contingency tests and upgradesAssist with the installation of patches and updates, determine impact on applicationsWork directly with end users & support staff on issuesEssential Skills & Experience5 years+ C# programming experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field or equivalent work experienceStrong SQL database development experienceGood understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patternsUnit and Integration testingAgile development methodologyKnowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular2, Type Script, jQueryPersistent/Real-time messaging system experienceExperience in working alongside a global team to deliver systems that adhere to firm wide standards
