The Senior Payroll Specialist will assist in all aspects of the monthly UK payroll processing, as we are an in-house processing payroll on the ADP IHCM NGUX Platform, as well as supporting other administrative functions within the team.What You'll DoProcess the FTI UK Payroll for approx. 1,500 UK employees monthlyCollate and process all UK payroll data into ADP IHCM NGUX, (Starters, Leavers, Benefits, Bonuses, Overtime, Pensions etc.)Manually calculate PAYE and NI calculations, Gross to NetPrepare and issue Maternity Pay SchedulesCalculate SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP & SHPPPrepare and review the monthly payroll reconciliations and control reportsIssue the monthly payroll files to Senior Management for approval and payroll sign offProduce final payroll reports to enable the Management Accounting Team to post the monthly payroll journalManage the reconciliation of pensions and upload to Scottish WidowsManage the monthly reconciliations for payments to HMRC and other third partiesProvide earnings data to the Global Mobility team as requiredMaintain an understanding of current payroll legislation: RTI and Auto EnrolmentPrepare and submit monthly ONS dataManagement of the Modified PayrollProcess P11D'sLiaise with and maintain good relationships with internal clients on a daily basis - Employees, Benefits team, Finance, HR, HMRC, Pension Provider, Childcare Vouchers, etc.How You'll GrowWe are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities. You'll be assigned a dedicated coach to mentor, guide and support you through regular coaching sessions and serve as an advocate for your professional growth.As you progress through your career at FTI Consulting, we offer tailored programs for critical professional milestones to ensure you are prepared and empowered to take on your next role.What You Will Need to SucceedExperience of working to tight deadlinesStrong organisation skills and methodical mindsetExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong attention to detail is essentialAbility to prioritise, manage time and work effectivelyStrong team player in an environment of professionalsExperience of working in a fast-paced environmentOpen minded and positive attitudeBasic Skills and Qualifications (or equivalent)Minimum of 5 years payroll experience in the UK with processing volumes of 800+Experience of dealing with payrolls from start to finish in an in-house processing environmentSystem knowledge of ADP IHCM is preferred, but must have worked with some form of ADPAbility to manually calculate PAYE and NI calculations, Gross to NetIn depth knowledge of statutory legislation in relation to: SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP & SHPPExperience processing P11D's and modified payrollGood working knowledge of GL coding/costingsSolid understanding of current pension legislationIn depth understanding of all aspects of parental leave, including AlabasterProficiency in MS Office, critically Excel (v-look ups & Pivots)Preferred Skills and Qualifications (or equivalent)Professional services industry experience is preferred but not essentialExperience of processing Shadow Payroll is preferred but not essentialAdditional InformationJob Family/Level: Core Operations Level 2 - Tier 2Employee Status: Regular
