Project Manager Ancillary Works InterfaceWe have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to work on a nuclear new build project. This will be a contract role to run to the year end but will be extended.This will be based in London (St Pauls) 3 days per week and the rest can be working from home. There will be occasional visits to Somerset when required.As Project Manager, you will manage interfaces across all Ancillary Works (AnW), coordinating key internal and external stakeholders for the PR&N scope. This includes SZB, HPC, SZC end users, National Grid, the planning team, and the Responsible Designer. You will also facilitate coordination between the different AnW packages by attending meetings, workshops, and managing communication with AnW Design Managers and the Civil Works Alliance Integrated Partner.Your role will ensure that PR&N design models and drawings are delivered to the relevant packages. Additionally, you will manage external stakeholder coordination, including interfaces with SZB regulators, to provide an end-to-end view of the works. You will also ensure all key stakeholders attend regulatory or relevant meetings, and you will coordinate presentations to regulators and stakeholders, with input from technical leads in design and construction.To support the Permanent Roads and Networks PM for end-to-end delivery of PR&N. To manage interfaces across all Ancillary works (AnW). To coordinate all Key Stakeholders internal to SZC and external, for the PR&N scope (Namely SZB, HPC, SZC end users, SZC key stakeholders from other programmes such as National Grid and the planning team, the Responsible Designer etc). To manage the coordination between the various packages in Ancillary works through attendance at meetings, workshops and email threads, liaison with AnW Design Managers and Civil Works Alliance Integrated Partner to ensure the packages are provided with PR&N design models and drawings. This will extend to coordination of key external stakeholders such interfaces with between SZC and SZB regulators to report on where the works sit from an end-to-end perspective. To ensure that all the key stakeholders are present at regulatory or other relevant meetings and to coordinate the detail and totality of the presentation to the regulators/other stakeholders (noting that the relevant technical leads in design and construction would contribute to this).Developing a means of capturing and recording the strategic interface issues risks, proposed resolutions, opportunities, information shared, etc. This will be agreed with the AnW and PR&N PM's and relevant Risk Managers to manage risks, issues and opportunities in ARM.Coordinating cross cutting procurement activities between Design and CWA IP such as ECI for contractor led design. This means ensuring all the key stakeholders are engaged in the procurement strategy, to understand both the design and construction requirements and to ensure everyone is involved and informed.Coordinating User requirement capture outputs and providing input to updating Stakeholder matrices for all AnW, and ensuring all information is relevant, and readily available for Gateway releases. As more departments develop such as pre-ops, this impacts the client activity to keep user requirements updated.The SkillsYou'll be well educated with previous engineering or project management experience in the nuclear industry.A Chartered Engineer qualification, formal project management qualification and direct experience of procuring equipment or installation contracts for nuclear power stations are all highly desirable.You'll demonstrate success coordinating multi-disciplinary design/procurement work and driving design/procurement teams to deliver on time:Project management or project engineering experience, from concept to handover.Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems or civil engineering for large industrial plants.Good understanding of the complexity of major projects, including interface management between scope areas.Experience of the pre-tender and tender stages of procuring contracts for the design, manufacturing and/or installation of industrial equipment.Excellent communication skills in client-facing and contractor-facing situations.Manage engineers, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex projects.Demonstrate specific success in managing/developing:Engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery,Multi-discipline EPCM projects,Procurement and management of complex contracts,Control of costs risk schedule and change and proficient in the use of Earned Value tools.
