Alongside the existing Delivery team, it will form the new Performance and Delivery department led by the Director of Operational Strategy, reporting into the Deputy Chief Executive.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst to join Cambridge University Hospitals as part of this newly-established team, benefiting our patients, colleagues, organisation and local system.Main duties of the jobThe Business Intelligence Partner will have a pivotal role in supporting the Performance team to effectively use, share and provide access to timely and understandable data.They will provide regular reports, as well as designing new dashboards and supporting time-limited programmes relating to the diagnosis of drivers of poor performance and associated opportunities.The post-holder will therefore be adaptable to the changing strategic priorities of the Trust and will develop effective working relationships with a range of internal stakeholders, particularly our in-house Information Management team. We value our differences and fully advocate and support an inclusive working environment where every individual can fulfil their potential.Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesPlease see the attached Applicant Information Pack (combined Job Description and Person Specification) for key duties and responsibilities.Person specificationQualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent or experience in a business analyst rolePostgraduate qualification in relevant area or equivalent experience in relevant fieldAble to demonstrate advanced/Expert computer skills, e.g. highly proficient, competent and efficient in a range of software applications.ECDL Advanced/Expert or equivalent knowledgeExperiencePrevious NHS role involving a high degree of data analysis, transformation or quality improvementPrevious experience of working to tight deadlines or delivering to high performance standardsPrevious experience of managing own /other's workload.Previous experience in writing reports/queries in SQLPrevious experience of working with a patient administration systemExperience of using Analytical skills, including an ability to analyse and present dataExperience of using QlikView to design files to display data in a number of formats.Some leadership, teaching, training or project management experience (not necessarily gained in a work environment).Experience of working within Epic especially knowledge of the CLARITY database.Knowledge of the various reporting tools within EpicKnowledgeUnderstanding of importance of Data within an NHS environment.Knowledge of the workings of the NHS and health service issues such as Performance Targets.A working knowledge of NHS Data Standards.SkillsHighly numerate.Ability to work on own initiative and confident to interact with all grades of staff.Ability to identify data problems and deal with issues as they arise.Must have an accurate and methodical approach to work with excellent attention to detail.Ability to work as part of a teamAdditional RequirementsThe ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of kind, safe and excellent.Evidence of continued personal development.
