C+E Night Trunking Driver - (Class 1 Nights)

As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a HGV Class 1 Driver to join the team on a permanent basis. Job Purpose To be primarily be responsible for the night trunking operation from Chard depot to the central distribution hub. Main Responsibilities To drive a Category C+E Vehicle To report to the Operations Director Build a strong relationship with the Network Night Operation, Operations Staff and Other Drivers Complete and update relevant paperwork Maintain the safety and security of the load report and issues around loading, planning and routing to the traffic office Operate all vehicle systems including tail lifts, pallet trucks and in cab technology Carry out all necessary checks and follow appropriate procedures to ensure the vehicle is safe and legal Essential Skills 2 years' minimum Night HGV CE Driving experience preffered Driver Qualification Card Maths and English GCSE or equivalent Understanding of driver's hours' legislation, tachograph procedures and other legal obligations Good knowledge of load restraint procedures Experience Driving Longer Semi & Double Deck Trailers Experience with rear steer Driver CPC Hours Monday to Friday, 5 nights per week, no weekend or Bank Holiday working Flexible Contracts are also available for 3/4 nights per week if required.
