Job Description

Position: System Engineer – PV Cleared Duration: 12 months with 12 months extension option Location: ACT, Onsite Clearance: Australian Citizens with TSPV Security Clearance Infinite Consulting is seeking an experienced System Engineer – PV Cleared for our esteemed large Federal Government Client. This is a long-term contract for 12 months with the option for a 12-month extension.

About the Role

In this role, you will be required to work across a variety of disciplines including:

1. Mechanical design
2. Thermal design and modelling
3. ICT infrastructure
4. ICT security
5. Embedded systems development

Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties include but are not limited to:

1. Implement network design on Cisco and Juniper platforms
2. Linux development, which includes developing and configuring a Linux environment, installing operating systems, and maintenance
3. Using Python, Puppet, and Ansible to enhance and support automation and continuous deployment
4. Monitor systems and infrastructure
5. Translate logical designs into physical designs

Role Specific Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate:

1. Experience working with virtualization technologies
2. Experience monitoring and actioning security alerts and incidents
3. Ability to maintain and upgrade device software, firmware versions, racking, cabling, and labeling of current and new infrastructure
4. Ability to deploy hosting platforms in a scalable and sustainable manner
5. Ability to patch and upgrade existing hosting platforms to improve security standards
