We are the clients of Sulb Company BSC (closed). Our services to Sulb Company include slag management, scrap cutting, under furnace digging, scrap cutting & lancing, finish product handling and arrangement, semi-product handling & arrangement, yard controlling, maintenance, and other onsite steel plant services at their fully integrated facility at Hidd plant since 2012.

Job Description

Scope of Work : Sorting and loading semi-finish product (Billet) materials on the trailer using a 30 tons magnet overhead crane in Mill Shop. Manning Level : Overhead Crane 30 tons. 1. Purpose of the Position: Ensure that all crane & equipment used operate safely & within the quality standards. Ensure productivity for the plant is within financial and legislative frameworks, and with minimum disruption to the environment. 2. Detailed Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operators to ensure that they follow the approved Standard Operating Procedures in a safe manner.
• Clearly communicate key performance indicators from seniors and ensure targets are achieved.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Report all safety deviations/defects on equipment immediately.
• Ensure cranes & lifting equipment are safety inspected.
• Meet all crane requirements within the section’s scope.
• Follow the shipping schedule according to priority.
• Assist Maintenance Dept. with breakdown work & preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s QHSE Integrated Management System according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor, Superintendent, and Manager Logistics & PPC.

• Comply with the information security policies, procedures, and guidelines of Harsco.
• Handle information systems securely to avoid unauthorized disclosure, breach of confidentiality, and integrity during every step of creation, storage, processing, and transmission.
• Report actual or suspected security incidents promptly to the information security function of Harsco.
• Report loss of any information asset immediately to respective business heads and the information security function of Harsco.
• Ensure access privileges align with job descriptions/business justification.
• Participate in security awareness trainings to improve awareness of responsibilities regarding information systems.

4. Safety, Health, Environment & Quality System Responsibilities:

• Follow safe work practices at all times.
• Report, investigate, and monitor incidents in the work area; participate in activities to remove hazards.
• Assist in identifying hazards in the work area and communicate them to relevant personnel to maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Actively participate in implementing the Safety Policy and communicate safe work practices regularly.
• Provide a means for subordinates to communicate safety concerns and act on them if possible or forward them to the relevant department.
• Report all activities/incidents to E&S Personnel that may cause health, safety & environmental harm regardless of severity.
• Follow all government and company rules and management directives, regulations, and policies relating to health, safety, and environmental control.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s QHSE System.

5. Accountabilities:

• Establish adequate health & safety control measures at the workplace.
• Implement the health & safety system effectively at the workplace.
• Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements.
• Implement effective corrective actions for any nonconformity observed.

6. Crane Operator Qualifications & Training: a. Vocational Training Certificate from a recognized institute. 7. Experience: a. Vocational Training with 5 years of experience in a similar type of industry or in the heavy steel industry. 8. Skills:

• Overhead crane and jib crane operation.
• Understanding tooling used for material handling with cranes.
• Understanding signals for crane operation.
• Safety precautions during crane operation.
• Ability to approach problems and situations step-by-step.
• Ability to work with others to achieve shared goals.
• Experience in OHC Magnet operations.
• Experience in the movement of steel finished sections.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with a Diploma in Crane Operations 4 & 5.
