MEP is responsible throughout the construction and commissioning of a new data center or data center expansion project.This role requires strong interpersonal skills and technical expertise in the MEP field, preferably in data center projects.Responsibilities:Studying and understanding of tender(s) / opportunity(s) requirements.Checking completeness of the tender(s) / opportunity(s) documents.Preparing clarifications to be sent to the client for missing, contradicting, and confusing issues related to the tender / opportunity requirements.Preparing design documents, systems & equipment sizing, and creating BOQ's for the design and build tenders / opportunities.Reviewing and validating design documents, systems & equipment sizing, and BOQ's for pre-designed tenders / opportunities, and conducting quantity surveying for lump-sum items.Studying and understanding the contract documents (drawings, specifications, and BOQ's).Preparing technical submittals and negotiating the same with the client, including:General equipment layoutIndoor & Outdoor lightingSmall PowerLV Cts CalculationsPower Raceway (HV & MV Raceways)LV & Control Cable racewayO.H racewayOpenings, Sleeves & Duct Banks (HV, MV, LV, Earthing & FO)Telephone systemAC and DC systemsEarthing Grid designEarthing Grid CalculationsShielding (Lightning protection)Reinforcement EarthingEquipment EarthingBattery SizingHeat dissipationACSR Conductor SizingACSR Conductor ArrangementPreparing conceptual and detailed design documents, lists, calculation notes, drawings, and detailed material take-off required for the project and negotiating the same with all concerned parties.Preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.Coordinating and communicating with sales, procurement, operations, and other concerned departments to assure completeness of the offers.Participating in the kickoff meeting of the projects and handing the contract documents over to the project manager and execution team.Receiving and evaluating suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors' technical & financial offers and checking compliance with the tender / opportunity requirements.Negotiating the technical and financial issues of the offers received from suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.Supervising the team that is preparing submittals till installing, maintaining, and commissioning in a safe, secure, and cost-effective manner across the site.Supervising the technical activities during construction in all disciplines until handover.Supervising the testing of all systems on site.Preparing project progress reports and timesheets and submitting them to the project manager.Supervising the activities of the installation subcontractor.Monitoring the project plan in line with the scope.Understanding drawings and specifications to ensure they reflect the desired requirements in accordance with the design.Vendor management & site coordination for material delivery and services.Ensuring all suppliers/vendors are following safety best practices.Ensuring the installation works are in accordance with the company's HSE standards.Preparing descriptive technical reports on any occurring problems.Following up work progress with site teams, up to handing over to the end user.Preparing the site survey report and ensuring report submission to services manager/PM.Preparing daily allocation schedule and supervising the works.Skills:+7 years' experience in Technical Site MEP work, specifically in Data centers.Solid knowledge of Data centers.Excellent communication skills.Flexibility to work under pressure and in different environments.Problem-solving skills.Leadership skills.Very good coordination and management skills.Excellent organizational and administrative skills.Develops site team technical competencies.
