Come and be part of our dynamic team and experience immerse growth and career opportunities with us.Job DescriptionOVERSEE AND MONITOR DAILY SPA OPERATIONSLead Spa team to maximize treatment bookings and yield managementFacility walk-through to ensure that standards are metEnsure adherence of department and facility policiesEstablish professional business relationship with all vendors and increase Spa product inventoriesOversee the Spa renovation project and the reopeningPROVIDE SPA / FITNESS EXPERIENCE THAT EXCEEDS GUESTS' EXPECTATIONSLead the team on a Heartist approach to personalizing the guest experience at the SpaDRIVE SPA REVENUE AND COST CONTROLDirect operations of facility, including short and long range strategic planning so that Spa operates cost effectively and efficientlyLead in implementation of 12-month marketing planIdentify new business and marketing opportunitiesAssist in the implementation of 12-month public relations program (calendar of events, media etc.)Work efficiently with Marketing Communications in all aspects of Spa/hotel promotion as requiredPromote and sell customized Spa programs to conference groups as requiredMeet with group meeting planners to sell Spa facility and programs as requiredFiscal budgeting and analysis, including the preparation of annual budgets for the departments within the facilityApprove payroll hours and hotel administered service charges / gratuity reportsReview / approve purchase requisitionsPrepare operations and capital improvement budget preparationReview expenditures to ensure that they are kept within operating budgetsReview / approve all invoices before paymentReview remuneration of salaried colleagues and independent contractorsControl the cost of goods purchased, services supplied and labour necessary to the sales and production of our products and servicesMANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP OF THE SPA TEAMRecruit, train, develop and motivate members of the Spa teamEnsure the establishment and execution of all departmental goalsEnsure all safety practices of Willow Stream are adhered to by entire Spa teamConduct discussions /performance reviews with Spa teamINVOLVEMENT AS A MEMBER OF THE HOTEL LEADERSHIP TEAMAct as a spokesperson for the Spa and the BrandFacilitate the needs/requirements of other departments with Spa: Engineering, Security, Finance, F&B, T&C, Sales & Marketing, Laundry & Property MaintenanceProvide a level of Safety & Security for all guests/membersDevelop own knowledge and skills to grow as a business partner and leaderQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in management position in SpaExperience in the hospitality industry is an assetExperience and education in one of the Spa disciplines of fitness or therapy is a significant assetInterpersonal skills to deal with guests and colleagues issuesGood problem solving skills and effective decision maker
