From carbon zero meetings to ditching tea bags, they enjoy a culture of positive change.Keen to support you with your Chartership ambitions, they offer study leave before all exams, and they have ICE mentors in the office who hold exam preparation workshops.Role: As a Project Civil Design Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer, you will take on project ownership for development-related civil engineering projects, covering preliminary and detailed design of levels, drainage, and external works.Further responsibilities will include:Liaison with both internal and external bodies, including planning authorities, statutory undertakers, and national bodies such as the Environment AgencyMulti-disciplinary design deliveryAttending client meetings and liaising with clients and other stakeholdersGround Modelling / Earthworks Design to include geotechnical and environmental appraisalFlood Risk AssessmentsPreliminary and Detailed Drainage Designs for Storm and Foul WaterSustainable Urban Drainage StrategiesSection 106/104 AgreementsWith a wide range of projects to work on, with clients across several economic sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, retail, and more, there will be plenty of opportunities to build an exciting portfolio to help advance your career.Requirements:Proficiency using industry-standard design packages, which may include AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site3D, Causeway Flow, and Infodrainage/MicroDrainageA practical knowledge of drainage design standards, guidelines, and processesAbility to multitask and manage a portfolio of projects across various scalesEffective and professional communication skills with the design team, clients, and contractorsGood written skillsUnderstanding of the multi-disciplinary nature of projects from the planning stage through to completionDesired:Chartered or working towards being chartered is welcomed, but not essentialIf you believe you are a strong technical fit for this role but find the salary, location, or seniority level unsuitable, we still encourage you to submit your CV.
