This role involves understanding clients' businesses and marketing challenges and distilling them into highly focused strategies.Our clients are UK and US based businesses, operating in service sectors. Their products and services are often complex, technical and often lack differentiation. So, this role requires you to be naturally curious, a fast learner, a creative thinker, and a great writer and presenter.Reporting into the Brand Director, you will work closely with the account and creative teams to set a strategic direction and make sure the work stays on brand and on track.Ideally, you'll have 3-5 years' experience in an integrated strategic planning role.Main responsibilitiesStaying informed on market trendsConducting some primary, but chiefly secondary researchAnalysing research, data and trendsAssisting the Brand Director with the delivery of workshops and write-upsIdentifying insights, challenges, and opportunitiesCreating competitive reviews and situational analysesDeveloping brand anatomy/framework/architecture, positioning, and strategyWriting compelling brand storiesMeeting and presenting to clientsBriefing and collaborating with creative teamsExperience and skillsPrior experience as a brand strategist or similar role, either leading or assisting in the development of brand anatomies/frameworks, value propositions, and positionings.Highly articulate with excellent writing skills.Experience leading client meetings.Analytical and problem-solving mindset.Ability to distil complex, technical business propositions into a succinct strategy.Creative and compelling storyteller.Strategic thinker.Excellent presentation skills.Qualification in business, marketing, branding, communication, or related field required.Free behaviours are based on our valuesEmpowerment - We empower everyone to table ideas that will move things forwards, whether through strategy, creativity, or tactical execution.
