Job Summary The role holder is responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing Fitness items supplied to GMG customers, in stores as well as outdoor locations. Accountabilities Core Responsibilities:
- Repairs and assembles fitness equipment as per the requirements and specifications of the product/brand.
- Tests the unit once installed to ensure all functionalities are properly running.
- Keep the inventory of the workshop updated.
- Provide feedback on repairs and be a part of the mechanic and office team.
- Be customer service oriented and personable, educating customers on service features and functionality as you are the face of our company when you deliver & service machines.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while installing and testing the equipment.
- Ensures that all tools and equipment used during work are in good, safe working order.
- Refurbishes and fabricates the returned and damaged fitness machines as necessary.
- Performs other responsibilities and tasks as required or as directed by line manager from time to time.
- Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
- Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan.
- Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
- High School / Diploma – Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience repairing and maintaining the known Fitness brands is preferred.
- Basic carpentry, mechanical, and electronics experience.
- Customer service orientation.
