We've won awards.Are you an agile Project Manager with Pricing and Underwriting experience? Have you delivered projects focussing on IT or Business? Have you been using your skills and knowledge in the Insurance or Financial Services industries?We're on the hunt for a talented Project Manager to join our Underwriting team either working remotely or based in our Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex.This is a 6 month fixed term contract opportunity with the possibility of going permanent, although this is not confirmed.In this role you'll be responsible for managing the successful project delivery of a diverse set of initiatives which contribute directly to the growth of our fast growing business. You will engage with our high performing Pricing and Underwriting experts and collaborate extensively with our technology and data teams to deliver projects which add value for our customers and colleagues.We're all about people and we're passionate about continuous improvement, so as an active member of the Project Management Practice you'll work with the Practice Lead to share your thoughts and continually progress our methods and team knowledge.You'll be great in this role if you have:Experience in a Pricing & Underwriting settingInsurance or Financial Services experienceAgile experience ideal but not essentialWhats Involved:Deliver multiple, concurrent Projects and Business Outcomes with responsibility for all Business and IT change elements.Maintain momentum and direction, delivering to the agreed scope, timeframe and budget with resource planning and accurate estimation treated as fundamental principles.Actively manage project risks, issues and dependencies.Plan and coordinate work with other internal departments to ensure internal resource requirements are understood and the right resources are available when required.Direct the activities of third party providers ensuring delivery to time, quality and budget.Practice a progressive Stakeholder Management approach, building invested relationships where appropriate, employing an agreed engagement & communication plan.Create, control, track and report on project progress through Steering Groups and established Monthly reporting.Adhere to the Company values always and encourage others to do the same.Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/regulations always (including TCF).Actively contribute to the Project Management Community of Practice.Any other reasonable duties as required.Your Experience:Demonstrable experience of managing the delivery of diverse and complex concurrent initiatives covering Business and IT change.Experience of engaging and managing third parties.Experience of working within an FCA regulated industry, ideally within Financial Services or Insurance.Experience of working with Pricing and Underwriting teams is an advantage.Proven experience of all stages of the project delivery and software development lifecycle including in an agile environment.Skills:Strong planning and control expertise.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent workshop and meeting facilitation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent Supplier and Stakeholder Management skills.Formal Project Management qualification such as APMP, PRINCE2, Agile Project Management or equivalent.Behaviours:Commercially focussed and results driven.Self-motivated and enthusiastic.Acts as a role model and motivates others.Embraces, embeds and incorporates the Company values.Ability to lead and influence.A flexible approach and positive attitude.Able to balance an emphasis on attention to detail whilst retaining focus on broader needs.Takes initiative to make decisions.Self-motivated and enthusiastic.Tools:MS Office / MS Project / SharePoint / TFS / Gemini/ADOInterested?
