A Snapshot of Your Day
You will contribute to a successful function controlling activities for global functions in Siemens Energy. Start a typical day by reviewing financial statements, or any overnight developments that could impact the financial position. Participation on a daily or weekly meeting with the controlling, regional accounting team to discuss ongoing projects, address any issues, and set priorities for the week.
Respond to emails from internal partners (like team lead, sub-function heads, governance team heads) regarding financial matters. Analyze budget/forecast variances and prepare reports for management. This might involve comparing actual performance against planned figures and identifying areas of concern.
How You'll Make an Impact
Responsibility for Controlling, Reporting and Forecasting of corporate functions for selected countries or region.
Pro-actively support the performance management of the supported corporate functions.
Independently analyzing the planning and forecast of the financials of the respective Corporate Functions and interpret the deviations.
Preparation of ad hoc reports, analysis, profitability, or efficiency calculations.
Provides & analyzes financial reports and performs closing processes regularly.
Complete cost control, optimization tasks and act as contact for regional topics.
What You Bring
Bachelor or master's degree in business administration, economics, or business informatics.
5+ years of experience in Financial Controlling.
Familiarity with reporting tools and processes, preferably SAP, ESPRIT, Microsoft Office and Think Cell.
Strong analytical skills, results orientated with high quality standards.
Flexibility and communication skills, the ability to work in a team as well as intercultural experience.
Demonstrates a proactive approach, maintaining high standards of quality and focusing on achieving results.
Excellent English skills, German is a plus.
