Ganotec typically self performs all major disciplines including civil, structural steel erection, heavy mechanical equipment installation, process piping and electrical/instrumentation and controls. We conduct our business through a variety of commercial contract styles including full turnkey, EPC, design build, T&M and conventional discipline packages. We have always been a strong proponent of "partnering", working in collaboration with owners, major equipment suppliers and engineers at the early stages of the project development phase to allow for a more cost-effective execution strategy for the project.ResponsibilitiesDaily planning of foreman and crew activitiesAssists in the coordination and planning of projects in a particular construction areaOversees all operations relating to a specific discipline/segment of workDirects discipline craft supervisors on sitePerforms daily inspections of work performedProvides job safety training and awareness for personnelEstablishes budgetary guidelines for the job, and ensures that cost control measures are being followedEstablishes quality standards of all jobs, and ensures that all quality assurance and company standards are being metQualificationsAbility to travel and relocate as needed5-10 years' work experience in construction, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory roleExperience in oil & gas industry is a mustExperience managing a team of 10 to 25 electricians an assetAdvanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and other documentsDemonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performanceHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timeDemonstrated commitment to ethics and integrityPassion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurtStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectivesStrong organization, time management, and attention to detailOther Requirements:• Regular, reliable attendance• Work productively and meet deadlines timely• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment• Perform work safely and effectively.
