Description
Guarantee and optimization of the smooth and efficient work flow in the engineering department. Responsibility for the overall maintenance and organization of technical equipment (including HVAC) within the hotel.Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordination of employees scheduling (including split shift).
- Planning, executing and controlling maintenance work of technical equipment (including HVAC) and disposal of detergents and toxic material.
- Budgeting and controlling of energy usage, maintenance expenses and preparing new projects.
- Scheduling employees in accordance to company rules and regulations.
- Guaranteeing cleanliness within all engineering outlets.
- Usage of external companies for economical reasons.
- Co-ordination of waste and recycle management.
- Maintaining and encouraging communication up and down within the department and to the executive team.
- Presence in meetings within the hotel.
- Creating monthly statistics and coordinating a smooth administration within the engineering office.
- Scheduling vacation and controlling of working hours.
- Supervision of all engineers.
- Reinforcing policy and regulations in compliance with hotel standards.
- Training of fire and security issues in case of an emergency.
- Responsibility for maintaining a high level of quality standards in compliance with economical methods.
- On the job training programs.
- MOD role during week and weekends.
- Leadership and role model behavior within hotel functions and meetings.
- To implement training, assessment and annual performance evaluations in co-operation with the Human Resources and Training Departments.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or College Degree in Hospitality EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position in a deluxe hotel TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of technical equipment (heating, water and HVAC systems) INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS:- Leadership skills
