What is the opportunity?
The Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO) is the facilitating body for all Data Management Offices for RBC focused on driving consistency and standardization across the DMOs. EDMO will partner with the DMOs to establish an effective DMO Target Operating Model and lead the Data Management and Compliance Council (DMCC) forum for all data management activities across RBC. EDMO also enables and supports the Functional Data Domains across RBC ensuring consistency in the implementation of the Standards of Care.
The Director, Data Management Enablement will work closely with functions line of business to establish and accelerate data management activities that benefit business opportunities while establishing data domain control points resulting in a data management strategy and execution that unlocks the business value of data in a safe policy adherent manner.
What will you do?
Identify and build reusable acceleration strategies around data management gap and business priorities.
Meet FY Policy deliverables to support business priorities and align with Data Policy requirements and adherence.
Develop Functions Data Management roadmaps.
Document and analyze data management gaps against domain strategy.
Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of Data Management components within the functional lines.
Establish data management forums for the functional lines of business and collaborate with CDO teams and external partners.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Analysis techniques including definition of business need, assessing capability gaps, determining approach, defining scope and business value.
Experience in issue remediation and effective escalation and resolution.
Experience in RBC data management and/or risk management.
Exposure to regulatory responses and remediation, including but not limited to OSFI.
Nice-to-have
Experience in RBC's Agile Program Management Framework is an asset.
Works strategically, stretching beyond traditional information management practices, leveraging industry-leading and innovative approaches to solving data challenges.
Understanding of Functions data is an asset. Functions include areas like Procurement, Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, Location, Audit, Fraud, Cyber Security, and more.
