We are looking forward for a Procurement officer who will be responsible for procurement and contracts activities related to Inland Container Depot and Industrial Zone. The role will involve developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Travel Requirement: Minimum 1 month in a quarter to Africa Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for dry port depot and other construction projects.
- Identify, asses, and select suppliers bases on project requirements and company standards.
- Develop RFP/RFQ/RFI and other tender documentations and subsequently manage end to end procurement processes.
- Ensure conformance at all times of the organization to Procurement process, DOA and any other relevant company policies and procedures.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and prompt resolution of any supply-related issues.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and preparing periodic reports on procurement activities, spending etc.
- Reconciliation and governing billing operations and ensure to process invoice correctly, timely.
- Promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly procurement practices, such as sourcing from eco-friendly suppliers or considering life-cycle costs.
- Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and finance teams to align procurement activities.
- Effective communication skills and Negotiation skills.
- Broad understanding of ERP system like SAP etc.
- Proficient people skills, team management, process orientation, global stakeholder management.
- Leadership experience and the ability to lead and develop a high performing team.
- Degree or Equivalent with 3+ years of job-related experience.
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering
- Procurement experience in port/ container yards etc.
- Timely placement of PO/WO as per agreed service level agreement (SLA) / TAT
- Achieve cost saving as per project target by availing quality goods/ services.
- Timely delivery of all materials as per project needs.
- 100% compliance with company procedure and policies.
